Our Team

Mr. Miller is Managing Director and Head of CIBC US Middle Market Investment Banking. He has over 35 years of transaction experience and is responsible for leading the middle market M&A investment banking group as well as actively managing transactions, business development, and private equity coverage. Mr. Miller has completed approximately 140 merger and acquisition and public and private financing assignments which represent approximately $10 billion of transaction value. In 2019 and 2015 Mr. Miller was named the M&A Advisor “Boutique M&A Investment Banker of the Year.”

Mr. Miller previously served as Managing Director and Head of Cleary Gull and Managing Director of Tucker Anthony Sutro’s Investment Banking Department. Mr. Miller also worked as a commercial banker at First Chicago Corporation and a Financial Analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York City.

Mr. Miller is a member of the Past President’s Council of the Wisconsin Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG – Wisconsin), on the Executive Committee and head of the Governance Committee of COA Youth & Family Center, a Board Member, Executive Committee Member and head of the Investment Committee of Versiti (f/k/a Blood Center of Wisconsin), a member of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee Foundation Board, on the Business Advisory Council of the Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, a Board Member of SODA: Student Organ Donation Advocates, and a member of the Greater Milwaukee Committee. Mr. Miller earned a MM from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, a BSE from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in History from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
